This month, we have life in all its many and varied forms across our programme premières: from a gripping drama based on a real-life tragedy to unmissable documentaries on the dark side of life. And the most ambitious wildlife series ever!

Real-Life Drama

It was the UK's biggest manhunt since the Yorkshire Ripper in the 1970s. The murders of five young women in Ipswich in 2006 filled the newspapers, but the drama series, Five Daughters, goes behind the headlines to tell the true story of who they were, and what led them to being where they were, and what happened on that day.

Louis is on the Loose

Don't you just love Louis Theroux? His documentaries on the stranger side of life have become must-see viewing and we have three new films from Louis. He revisits the extreme right-wing Phelps family four years after his first encounter. Then he travels to the West Bank to meet a small and very committed subculture of ultra-nationalist Jewish settlers. And in the third show, Louis tackles one of his most frightening assignments in one of the most notorious sections of Miami County Jail: the fifth and sixth floor of 'Main Jail', where many of the most volatile inmates are incarcerated.

Planet Earth - Epic and Live!

You won't want to miss the biggest-ever, most ambitious live global wildlife series, Planet Earth Live. He joins pioneer settlers who claim new hilltops for Jewish occupation and also spends time with those who live cheek by jowl with Palestinians in Hebron and East Jerusalem.

These jails are a new phenomenon in America as the country struggles to process its growing criminal class. From the men on death row awaiting their appeals to those waiting for their first sight of a court room, Louis meets a collection of people thrown together - some innocent, some guilty and none proven yet, either way.
