Hi, I'm a Doctor Who fan, and I enjoy every episode of the program. However, there's one thing I would like to suggest : could you promote a FEMALE Doctor? It's quite clear that from the first to the twelfth Doctor are all males, and they've all got female companies who fell for him. This makes me fell that "gender stereotypes" is still being broadcasted (and mind you, widely). There's no denying that females in Doctor Who are no damsels in distress, but still, it's men that dominate. I greatly enjoy the program, and will continue watching it. I just feel the need to make a suggestion, and I believe a female Doctor would be a lot of fun. Thank you.

Hi, I love watching BBC Entertainment, being British and living in Singapore, but please give us a bit more variety than the constant "Dr Who" repeats that are currently being shown. I was never a great fan when I lived in UK. Death in Paradise and DCI Banks are great.

Hello there. I recently moved to Taiwan to study (specifically New Taipei City), and I miss Doctor Who. Since my apartment is yet to have cable television, I was wondering if it will be possible to watch the 50th Anniversary special and all other episodes on the BBC Asia website, which is where I'm typing this from. Thank you.

BBC

Dear Malcolm,

Thank you for your message to BBC Worldwide Channels in Asia.

It is not possible to watch our programmes online, however BBC Entertainment, BBC Knowledge and BBC Lifestyle are all available in Taiwan and more information about how to access these channels in Taiwan are on our website here We are delighted to confirm that the 50th Anniversary episode of Doctor Who will be broadcast on BBC Entertainment.

I am a great fan of thebbc and watch/subscribe to all the channels available in Asia/Singapore. However there are FAR too many repeats, am watching an episode of Lead Balloon right now and it must be the 10th time i have seen it in past 12 months. There are so many good shows available yet repeats on all shows are the norm. There should be a restriction on number of repeats to get the right to broadcast.

BBC

Dear Roger,

Thank you for your message to BBC Worldwide Channels in Asia.

Firstly, we are very pleased to read that you are a fan of the BBC and that you watch BBC Worldwide Channels in Singapore. On the issue of repeats, in common with most cable and satellite channels, repeat broadcasts of programmes are a feature of most schedules. Due to the multi-channel environment, many people miss episodes or complete series and therefore welcome an opportunity to watch a programme they have missed or enjoy being able to watch their favourite shows again. However, we recognise that you feel episodes of Lead Balloon in particular have been repeated on BBC Entertainment too often and we have noted your feedback and this will be circulated to the appropriate teams at BBC Worldwide.

Thank you again for taking the time and trouble to contact us with your feedback which we very much appreciate.

Best wishes,

Hello BBC! I've been a Doctor Who fan for longer than I can remember. Being a citizen of Malaysia, it's never easy getting hold of episodes of Doctor Who -- I read the novelisations of classic episodes long before I ever got to watch them.

When available in stores, I used to purchase the videotapes (and later DVDs) of various Doctor Who episodes from the Jon Pertwee era all the way to the Tom Baker era.

Anyway, BBC recently announced that episodes of the classic Patrick Troughton lost episodes of Web of Fear and Enemy if the World would be available on iTunes. Unfortunately, no Doctor Who episodes have ever been available in the Malaysian iTunes store (though the movie store is open). Perhaps it's a licensing thing or perhaps it's merely an oversight on BBC's part. On the off-chance that it's an oversight, I'd like to implore the BBC to make these classic episodes available for purchase on iTunes. In fact, I'd really like to see the whole back catalogue of classic episodes available for purchase on iTunes too. In this country (and many Asian countries), there are few avenues for legal purchase of video content and having Doctor Who and other BBC shows available on iTunes would really open up a whole new audience and revenue source for BBC's excellent shows.

Hello, (please understand that I am not good at english very well). I've been having interest about britain but I didn't know well about britain's history or root, identity, spirit things and recently I found this programme.
