BBC

Dear Johnny,

Thank you for your message to BBC Worldwide Channels in Asia.

Fawlty Towers series 1 and 2 were both shown on BBC Entertainment in September and we do hope viewers enjoyed watching this classic British comedy series. Fawlty Towers is not scheduled to be shown on the channel again in the next few months but we will certainly note your request to see more of this series in the future. In the meantime we do hope you will enjoy other British comedy on BBC Entertainment in Asia this month including Come Fly With Me, My Family and Outnumbered.

Dear Sir,

I am becoming convinced the main programming content from the BBC these days is solely focused on cooking or the kitchen. The number of cooking related programmes are becoming an obession at the BBC and frankly its getting tiresome. some are simply bad programmes. The BBC needs abit more imagination.

BBC

Dear David,

Thank you for your message to BBC Worldwide Channels in Asia.

We very much appreciate feedback about our channels. BBC Lifestyle in Asia broadcasts a range of programmes and is not confined to cookery programming. For example, in November some of the non-cookery programmes on BBC Lifestyle in Asia include:

Extreme Makeover: Home Edition Gok's Clothes Roadshow Grand Designs Hidden Potential Mary Queen of Charity Shops

We do hope you will enjoy these and other programmes on BBC Lifestyle in November. We are grateful to you for taking the time and trouble to send us your feedback.

If you don't happen to like programmes with silly monsters chasing people - what do you watch between20.15 and 23.00? Why do you have 3 identical subject matter programmes on one after the other? Very poor planning.

Please, please, please bring back 'Later with Jools Holland'. London Live is dreadful. Meanwhile the BBC's own Later is quite rightly lauded as the best music show on TV of the modern era. Its absence from the BBC Entertainment schedule is a terrible shame.

BBC

Dear Tim,

Thank you for your message to BBC Worldwide Channels in Asia.

We are sorry that you do not enjoy London Live on BBC Entertainment, but unfortunately we don’t have any plans to show Later With Jools Holland on the channel in the near future. However, we do have a new series of The Graham Norton Show starting next month which, as always, will feature an array of popular guests and music entertainment.

Best wishes,

I would like to know in the UK if you put the same programmes on and on again. repeat progammes that are over five years old and repeat repeat again in Asia. repeat repeat repeat is that all the BBC has to offer in Asia. It is **** it is rubbish and we have pay a big price for this. I have only had BBC entertainment for six months and the the repeats of series is unbelieverable and the same series over and over again tell me I am quiet willing at the moment to cancel this ***** station. I would like a reply never received a reply before when I complained. I bet my views never get listed below. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. Repear.

BBC

Dear Ruth,

Thank you for your message to BBC Worldwide Channels in Asia.

Firstly, you mentioned in your message that you did not receive a reply when you contacted us previously, however we have checked our records and a response to your message regarding coverage of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations on our channels in Asia was posted on the Contact site and an email acknowledgement was sent to you informing you that your message and a reply had been published. We apologise if you did not receive this email but according to our records an email was sent. For reference this is the response we published:

"Dear Ruth, Thank you for your messages to the BBC Asia Contact Us site on Tuesday 5 June. We are sorry that you were so disappointed with the commentary that accompanied coverage of The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations on BBC Entertainment Asia.
This was a fantastic opportunity for our international viewers to enjoy the historic events in London. We provided extensive coverage of the Thames Pageant, concert at Buckingham Palace and Services of Thanksgiving and Royal Procession with a variety of tones and styles for different audiences. It is worth noting that this was a live broadcasting event of unprecedented scale and complexity amidst weather conditions which turned out to be challenging for all involved.
We do thank you for your feedback and we hope that you enjoyed at least some of our coverage of the historic events in London.
Best wishes, BBC Entertainment"

Turning to your feedback regarding repeats, we are sorry that you are unhappy with the amount of repeats which you feel are broadcast on our channels in Asia. As with all cable and satellite channels, repeats are a feature of most schedules and this is welcomed by those viewers who don't watch the same channel every day and, due to the multi-channel environment, often miss complete series.

We regularly introduce new programmes to our channels in Asia and we have some fantastic programmes premiering in October including on BBC Entertainment, Torchwood series 3 and Primeval series 4, on BBC Knowledge we have Undercover Boss Australia series 2, Toughest Place To Be…, Secret Millionaire series 7 and Frozen Planet. We do hope you will enjoy some of these programmes.

Thank you for contacting us and for taking the time and trouble to send us your feedback.
