Can you please re-run DCI Banks pilot: Aftermath parts 1 & 2

BBC

Dear Guy,

Thank you for your message to BBC Worldwide Channels in Asia.

As you may be aware series 2 of DCI Banks is still premiering on our channel, but unfortunately the one-episode pilot DCI Banks: Aftermath, as well as series 1, comprising of 3 episodes, have now finished and we do not currently have plans to show them again the near future. However, we have taken note of your interest in seeing DCI Banks: Aftermath again on BBC Entertainment. We do hope that you'll enjoy some of our excellent upcoming crime premieres such as series 2 of Luther, from 23 May, series 3 of Whitechapel, from 29 May, and a brand new legal drama Silk, on BBC Entertainment from 3 June.

Why are programmes repeated so often on the same day? And why is lifestyle obsessed with food as shown by today's schedule,7 May,and shown in Asia? It is completely bonkers.

These comments apply to the continual repeats on BBC Entertainment. Can the schedulers be more imaginative and offer newer programming

BBC

Dear Patrick,

Thank you for your message to BBC Worldwide Channels in Asia.

We are sorry to hear you are disappointed with our recent programming and scheduling. Aside from Food, BBC Lifestyle offers other thematic strands such as Home & Design, Fashion & Style, Health, Parenting, and Personal Development, and in the next month we will be showing programmes such as Colin & Justin's Home Heist, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, and Gok's Clothes Roadshow, as well as premieres like Britain's Dream Homes, from 8 May, and series 10 of Grand Designs, from 25 June. Although repeats form a part of our schedules, as they accommodate the viewers who come to our channels at different times and may have missed the programmes the first time around, or enjoy seeing their favourites more than once, we regularly introduce new titles and series to ensure our viewers enjoy fresh programming. We do hope you are enjoying DCI Banks series 2 which is currently premiering on the channel and that you will enjoy the upcoming dramas on BBC Entertainment, such as series 2 of Luther, from 23 May, series 3 of Whitechapel, from 29 May, as well as a brand new legal drama Silk, premiering on 3 June.

Hi, I would like to enquire if your "secrets of the sexes" is sold in the DVD stores? I would like to purchase them

Whilst not all of the programmes which you see on our channels are commercially accessible, you may like to check DVD availability with the BBC Shop – www.bbcshop.com – or an alternative online or local retailer. What happened to the latest season of Top Gear? The first few episodes were shown, but after that, nothing else?

BBC

Dear Yeo,

Thank you for your message to BBC Worldwide Channels in Asia.

The latest series of Top Gear we showed on BBC Knowledge in Asia was series 19, consisting of 7 episodes, and it was shown in full between 10 February - 28 March. We are sorry if you were not aware that episode 7 was the concluding programme. We hope you enjoy some of our upcoming premieres, such as Bill Connolly's Route 66, where the world-renowned comedian and motorbike enthusiast drives the iconic road, on BBC Knowledge from 14 May, as well as series 3 of Top Gear USA, from 1 June.

Hi BBC, When will you be delivering HD content to Asia? The quality of what is being broadcast does not do the content of your shows justice and to be frank it looks terrible. Please do your shows justice.

Free Mussolini is a fascinating documentary that only BBC could have produced.

The program featured rare audio of historical figures speaking in their native language. Of cos this mean English subtitle is shown during the show.

Unfortunately post-production overlay of Chinese subtitles got in the way of the English subtitles in part; subsequently rendering the English subtitles unreadable.

Fortunately, as I could read Chinese, I could follow the program but other viewers who are not fluent in Chinese would find their enjoyment marred by the subtitles overlap.

I trust you will look into the above for your future programs. Thanks!

BBC

Dear Paul,

Thank you for your message to BBC Worldwide Channels in Asia.

We are glad to hear you enjoyed Free Mussolini, and grateful that you pointed out the subtitling issue in the programme to us. It will be changed and all future episodes will be aired correctly thanks to your feedback. We apologise if this spoilt your enjoyment of watching the programme. Our viewers' opinions are extremely valuable to us so we thank you again for your comments and taking the time to write to us.

Time shown in the 'programme search' is the GMT? If not what time zone is that based. Say if I want to watch 'Call the midwife' in Hong Kong I have to have access to Cable TV or NOW TV service provider and match my seating in front of the TV according to GMT?

BBC

Dear Arthur,

Thank you for your message to BBC Worldwide Channels in Asia.
